Important Legal Stuff
1. Cooling Off Period
If you change your mind within 14 days of joining, we'll refund any payments. We may deduct any guest fees or personal training fees, if you've used our clubs or services.
2. Freeze
To freeze your membership, please let us know at least 3 days before the proposed freeze start date. Minimum 2 weeks to a maximum of 12 weeks over a 12-month period of membership.
3. Group exercise bookings
To keep things fair, you can have 6 bookings at any given time. Cancellations within 3 hours of the class start time and no shows incur 1 strike. If you are on the waitlist of a class and get a space within 3 hours of the class starting, you will not receive a strike if you cancel or do not attend. If 3 strikes are incurred in any 14-day period, booking through the app will be suspended for 3 full days. Members can still attend a class without a booking if there is a spot available. 4. Initial Commitment Period
Your Initial Commitment Period is 52 weeks from your first billing date. It will then automatically renew for further two week Commitment Periods unless terminated.
5. Student Membership
Your membership will entitle you to use the facilities and benefits available from time to time at your home club. If you have not provided an acceptable form of student ID, clearly identifying you as a full-time student at time of joining you will have until your first direct debit date to provide it. If at that time we have not received an acceptable form of student ID, any discount received by joining as a student will be added to your next direct debit, and your ongoing membership dues will be updated to the Home Club membership dues applicable at your home club until such time as an acceptable form of student ID is provided. Once an acceptable form of student ID is provided your membership dues will return to the student rate from your next direct debit. Virgin Active reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Student Membership discount or membership type at any time in its complete discretion however your membership dues will not increase during your Minimum Commitment Period. A student discount is not available with any other discount or promotion. Student memberships are only available at Collins Street.
6. Termination/cancellation process
To cancel your membership, please let us know in Club at least 3 days before the next direct debit date (ie close of business on Sunday). If you terminate your membership within the Initial Commitment Period, an Early Termination Fee of up to $300 will apply.
