1. Initial Commitment Period

Your Initial Commitment Period is 52 weeks from your first billing date. It will then automatically renew for further two week Commitment Periods unless terminated.

2. Termination/cancellation process

To cancel your membership, please let us know in Club at least 3 days before the next direct debit date (ie close of business on Sunday). If you terminate your membership within the Initial Commitment Period, an Early Termination Fee of up to $300 will apply.

3. Freeze

To freeze your membership, please let us know at least 3 days before the next direct debit date (ie close of business on Sunday).You can freeze your membership from direct debit date to direct debit date. Minimum 2 weeks to maximum of 12 weeks.

4. Cooling Off Period

If you change your mind within 14 days of joining, we'll refund any payments. We may deduct any guest fees or personal training fees, if you've used our clubs or services.

5. Home and Away Rules

You may use other Virgin Active clubs in accordance with our Reciprocal Rights Policy. You must use your Home Club more than your Away Club. Where a member is using their Away Club more than their Home Club we’ll ask the member to transfer to that other Club. A transfer fee will apply

6. Your Personal Data

We will collect, use and retain your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy and collection notice found at virginactive.com.au

7. Group exercise bookings

To keep things fair, you can have 6 bookings at any given time. Cancellations within 3 hours of the class start time and no shows incur 1 strike. If you are on the waitlist of a class and get a space within 3 hours of the class starting, you will not receive a strike if you cancel or do not attend. If 3 strikes are incurred in any 14-day period, booking through the app will be suspended for 3 full days. Members can still attend a class without a booking if there is a spot available. 8. Premium Membership

Premium membership entitlements may be varied from time to time. We will let you know of any changes by emailing you.

9. 50% off until 2027

Join Virgin Active Australia on an eligible 12-month membership between 12:00am on 1 September 2026 and 11:59pm on 30 September 2026 and receive 50% off eligible Membership Dues from your membership start date until 31 December 2026 (Offer).

The length of the discount depends on your start date:

• Start 1 September 2026: 17 weeks and three days at half price.
• Start 30 September 2026: 13 weeks and two days at half price.
• Start on another date in September: half price from that date until 31 December 2026.

The discount applies to eligible pro-rata Membership Dues and fortnightly Membership Dues relating to the promotional period. If a payment covers dates in both December 2026 and January 2027, only the portion relating to dates up to 31 December will be discounted. Standard Membership Dues will apply from 1 January 2027.

The Offer is available on eligible 12-month Life, Premium, Home Club, Under 25 and Over 55 memberships. It is available to new members and former members whose previous membership ended at least 30 days before rejoining. The Offer is not available at Bondi Westfield or St Leonards Home Club and excludes one-month, 12-week, Vitality and corporate memberships. To qualify, members must complete the sign-up process and commence their membership during September 2026, provide valid direct debit details, complete the Health Commitment Statement and pay all applicable joining amounts. Members under 18 require a parent or legal guardian to attend the Club and complete the agreement.

If the membership is frozen before 31 December 2026, the applicable Freeze Fee will be discounted by 50%. The Offer will continue during the freeze and will not extend beyond 31 December 2026. The Offer cannot be combined with another promotion or discount unless expressly stated. It does not apply to personal training, add-ons, products, services or other fees and cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash or retrospectively applied.

The Total Minimum Commitment provided before joining will reflect the applicable Offer discount. The 12-month minimum commitment period remains unchanged. If the membership ends before 31 December 2026, any unused discount will be forfeited. Standard cancellation conditions and applicable fees continue to apply. Virgin Active may withdraw or vary the Offer before a person enters into a Membership Agreement. Changes will not affect an Offer already included in an accepted Membership Agreement.

All Virgin Active membership terms, Club Rules and policies apply. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
