Roll and Release or R&R for short is a quick 15 - 30 min class using our Trigger Point Rollers and our amazing trainer`s knowledge to help get you moving as effectively as possible! Use before or after a workout to maximise your performance and recovery, or use anytime to enhance your day! Let the good times roll!

Why is it good for me?

Using a trigger point roller is actually similar to getting a massage -only less expensive! You’re welcome! As you roll on it, fibrous tissue is broken down and circulation is boosted, helping to relieve tension and pain. When you perform various exercises with the roller it also helps to engage your muscles and build strength. Plus, because the roller is unstable, using it works your core muscles and helps improve balance.

What will I do?

Guided by your instructor you really will let the “good times roll”. Self-massage and educate yourselves on how to correctly use these pieces of kit. You can actually use it daily (even if it's for just a few minutes) to help prevent trouble spots in your muscles from occurring.

What should I bring?

Your Virgin Active Health Club will provide the necessary equipment. All you need is comfortable workout clothes, supportive shoes, a drink bottle and a sweat towel
