Based on the Professor Izumi Tabata’s research into the benefits of short rest periods after high intensity intervals. Join us for this heart raising, sweat-tastic class. Burn maximum calories in minimum time with this 20-45 minute Tabata workout

Why is it good for me?

HIIT or high intensity interval training is an effective way to both improve cardio vascular fitness and initiate calorie after-burn. This time efficient training Tabata class will increase your anaerobic fitness and turn on your fat-burning fire in less time than it takes to say ‘Professor Izumi!’

What will I do?

With a mixture of conditioning and strength training TABATA will see you work with short sharp intervals and minimal rest periods. Various exercises in this class will leave you feeling worked with 20 seconds to get in the reps, but only 10 seconds to gasp a breath before you go again!

What should I bring?

Your Virgin Active Health Club will provide the necessary equipment. All you need is comfortable workout clothes, supportive shoes, a drink bottle and a sweat towel
