As the official fitness partner of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, our job is to get you race ready. And race ready means being able to run 1-mile (approx. 1.6km) as fast as you can.
Our comprehensive training plan will get you prepared for your first 1-mile sprint or help seasoned runners condition themselves for a 1-mile personal best.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is an unique corporate event. Each corporate team has 10 runners, all of whom will run a stunning one-mile course, starting and finishing in Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour. The course has sprint sections, tight corners, and the all-important baton exchange, so anybody training for this event will need to train in an unique way.
Virgin Active has pulled together an amazing 6 week training program which you can easily download below, or if you’re a member of Virgin Active, you can join the weekly in-club training classes free of charge. It’s not only great for preparing you for race day, but will also build workmate morale! Everybody wins.
