
I knew I wanted to work with kids when I arrived in Australia – and as soon as I saw I could be with kids in a fitness environment with the Virgin brand, I was drawn in. The enthusiasm of everyone was amazing – I turned down 2 other opportunities to be a part of it. I love the kids and their parents are great – they really appreciate what we do. The team here works closely together and you always get a smile and a “hey, how you doing” from other depts. You don’t have to worry about any big management feeling here – we just chat about our weekends together like we’re all teammates. It’s a really relaxed environment – we work hard but it’s relaxed in the sense we can just be ourselves. We all share the same enthusiastic drive of health and fitness – we love to get active and to get the kiddies active too.
Q: Favourite excuse for not exercising
A: I’m always injured! Broke my wrist not long ago, have dodgy knees, and a grade 2 ligament sprain on my ankle. I do still get out there and train though... just have to tape everything up beforehand.
